Young, up and coming stars featured on
Top Pop
Listen to tracks !

You will instantly recognize these chart-topping songs made famous by such successful performers as Pink, Destiny's Child, Five for Fighting, NSYNC, Aerosmith, Vanessa Carlton, and others… and you won't be disappointed when you hear our young artist ensemble put their talent to the test on Top Pop. This new release is from the folks who consider it their mission to encourage, develop and introduce new, young talent, Music for Little People.

Presented with "parent-friendly" lyrics, Top Pop is appropriate for all ages, but focuses on 8-12 year-olds. Produced by Grammy® and Emmy® award-winning Dennis Scott, who brought you "Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis Songs for Kids" in 2000, Top Pop features a cast of young, but incredibly experienced performers. These talented teens successfully endeavored to make some of the songs sound as close to the originals as possible and at times have actually expanded and embellished upon the originals. Performer's Bios

"A great musician once said, 'there are only two kinds of music - good or bad!'" said Dennis. "I'm proud to say that all the songs on Top Pop are great, and it was a pleasure working with such a talented group of young performers. It was a non-stop party! (I'm still finding leftover potato chips in the carpet.)" Dennis gathered together his Nashville-based "First-Call" studio musicians for Top Pop, many who have contributed to testerday's and today's hits in country, pop and everything in between. The excellence in musicianship and production makes Top Pop a high quality release at a great price. The songs were selected for their positive messages of individuality, self-respect and innocent fun. Young Stephanie Rothenberg starts the album off singing just as pretty as 'Pink' on the popular Get the Party Started and Morgan Karr's version of the smash hit Kryptonite is right in the neighborhood of the '3 Doors Down' original. There's even a bonus track of the theme song from this year's hit movie, Spiderman, performed in 'Aerosmith's' unique style. "This recording has been nothing but fun from the beginning", says co-producer and MFLP President, Sheron Sherman. "It was our intent to make these popular songs more accessible to the younger generation, and to give the talented kids who performed the songs the exposure and experience they deserve. I feel we have succeeded all the way around with this one." Don't be surprised when you hear more about these youngsters in the coming years. With their individual and collective talents, they are truly 'Destiny's Children'!
